Retouching, Illustration and Artwork for Age UK’s 2019 Christmas OOH Campaign
My work on Panasonic’s 2019 instalment of the “Hollywood To Your Home” campaign.
Key Visual concept for Lucozade’s partnership with Love Island
The redevelopment of the Battersea Power Station site, brought to life again by world-famous architects Foster + Partners and Gehry Partners, has sparked huge interest.
I worked for Brave on an international press and digital campaign, along with Danish Illustrator Mads Berg, to create a stunning suite of ads inspired by art deco travel advertising of the 20s and 30s.
Nominated for the Drum Design Strategy of the Year award, I had to edit rough illustrations until they worked across all required formats and sizes. Using Adobe Illustrator to combine vector and pixel based masks with custom blends, gradients and effects.
The science of hair repair. A detailed graphic for John Frieda on the DNA of hair.
To help leverage the trend in flavoured spirits, El Jimador Tequila launched two flavour extensions, these being the Key Visuals used in the 2015 and 2014 campaigns.
A bold pan-European campaign for Panasonic’s Lumix G range.
By letting people identify themselves with one of several camera character types, the goal was to create a deeper emotional connection. From famous footballers and hipstery cool kids, to aspiring film directors, aiming to show that there’s a Lumix G for everyone, and help photographers ready to take their next step and find ‘the one’ for them.
As head of retouching for Brave at the time, I had to oversee and directly work on the extensive retouching requirements across the campaign.
Some recent work for the UK's fastest ISP, HyperOptic.
Of several DM pieces this is perhaps the most interesting and fun, including a push-out net of a hero figure that people are encouraged to put together and upload pictures to Twitter.
Cutter guides were drawn up from scratch for both the DM piece and the several body sections of the 3d character, all drawn in Illustrator.
Tequila brands never have a stand out ‘bar call’, with consumers simply asking for ‘tequila’! So, to get el Jimador front of mind for consumers, concepts were made for the US, tying in with key activity and dates for the brand.
Artwork was created that put the product at the heart of the celebrated Hispanic cultural dates. Combining Illustrator line art with rendered product images and stock photography.
During a redesign of the brand guidelines for Benson & Hedges Gold, this composition was created for the "Past to Present" theme.
This featured on the cover page of the guidelines and I also helped produced the lengthy finished document, ensuring the very complicated artwork was of the highest quality and worked across print & digital formats.
The very first work I did for El Jimador Tequila, the biggest selling Tequila brand in Mexico. Retouching Monny, Vince & Ramiro and creating the distinctive Key Visuals.
Each retouched image was placed into an old school transparency frame, made from stock imagery and further distressed with custom photoshop brushes. Further custom effects were added to the vector artwork and the flattened product shot made semi opaque.
